Partnership signing boosts Saudi
motor sport

Mobile Communication Company (Zain) and Reem Auto Club Experience (RACE) have joined forces in what will surely prove a major boost for motor sport in Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom is placing considerable emphasis on motor sport and a number of initiatives are on the horizon RACE is an integral part of the move to bolster auto activities locally and regionally.

HRH Prince Sultan bin Bandar Al Faisal, chairman of Saudi Sabaq Company, the owner of RACE and Dr. Marwan Al-Ahmadi, CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia headed the list of dignitaries.

Prince Sultan described the partnership as an “historic event for the race track and motorsport in the Kingdom and especially in the Arab region.” He added that RACE aims to be an international auto racing venue and this will come to fruition “soon.”

Dr Al-Ahmadi said through such partnerships and alliances people of the Kingdom would have an affinity with international institutions.

Raed bin Abdul Aziz Abu Zenadh, general manager of RACE and Saudi Sabk announced RACE’s coming events which will kick off the new season for Saudi motorsport next October. He said the events schedules were compiled in compliance with international motorsport tournaments and according to international standards.

A RACE media club has been formed and it will play a significant role in the Saudi motorsport news coverage. Club member journalists will enjoy several incentives, benefits and seminars that will make auto sports in the Kingdom a comprehensive sport through auto races and professional media coverage for one of the most important international sports.

Sela Sport Companies CEO Ahmad Muhtaseb also expressed his pleasure of the new partnership between two of the most important parties concerned with youth issues. He said the partnership will positively reflect on the two parties’ future work be it in motorsport or commercial marketing.
